  • Review:
I loved this story and especial Hope. She is such a cute, smart and creative girl. I like the way the book is told and the way the author brings in the  „Tagebuch der Anne Frank“ and how reading it gives power to Hope. The books has a special but very important topic, it shows the power of words and how they sometimes hurt. That is one of the reasons I like the book of. And I so I discovered the project „Hands and Words are not for hurting“. A very wonderful idea , I think. But most I liked the book for its way a difficult relation between mother and daughter is described and how it comes to and wonderful end. So I can it special recommend to mothers and daughters.

Rezension: Der Feuerteufel von Norwich / Review: The Norwich Firebug

Michael Bacon – Der Feuerteufel von Norwich / The Norwich Firebug

Das Buch stammt aus einem Dreierpack sog. „Sprachen – Lernkrimi – Englisch“. (Daher auch die drei Abbildungen.) Es ist ein ganz besonderes Buch, denn es soll dem Leser helfen Englisch zu lernen. Deshalb wird der komplett englischsprachiger Krimi immer wieder von Übungen (auf deutsch erklärt) unterbrochen.
Daher schreibe ich auch die Rezension zweisprachig.

  • Review:
I liked the book very much , but the CD is not so good just like it is the problem with the other books of the series. I think the text is read out too fast to be understood by those children, who do not have English as their mother tongue. The pages are wonderfully colored and the font is big enough even for young readers. The pictures are very funny and make it easy to understand what happens, even if your English isn´t that good. That’s why I think, it is a good book for learners of English. Especially teachers and adults will be happy about the translation at the end of the book and both children and adults will love the puzzles and littles tasks and games on the last pages. That helps to remember the content of the story in a very funny and special way. I can recommend the book if you don´t want to use it together with the CD. But the book is wonderfull. I think all readers will fall in love with the ugly duckling. And I love this wonderful end of the story. Children can learn that not everything is the way it seems to be.

  • Review:
The book is full of Africa and I like the story, the pictures and the way it is told. The idea of the content is wonderful and sure especially litle children will have fun to listen to it and take part in the story. And by the way they can learn, that it can become difficult for you if you need someones help, when you teased whom too much before. I recommend it to all people and specially to fans of Africa.

  • Review:
The book is wonderful, especially for the time oft Easter, when I bought and first read it. I love the story, the pictures and most off all the way in which it is designed as a flap book. It was fun to open the little doors  an discover what is inside. Next year on Easter I will surely read it to my children and maybe let them play the story. In my opinion it is wonderful for a role-play not only because the text and content is so easy to remember, but also because it has so many different characters. Because of all that I recommend it to all people and hope you will remember it next year when Easter comes again.
